AWNING ROOF MOUNT INSTALLATION
Roof mount brackets are required if you need to
mount the awning on the roof, if it cannot be wall,
fascia or overhang (soffit/eave) mounted OR if
you wish to gain extra height for the front/moving
bar. The triangular roof bracket is an adjustable
bracket that can be used for any angle roof or
a flat roof to install retractable awnings, patio covers, window awnings, patio awnings, commercial awnings and deck awnings. One roof mount bracket is needed
for EACH wall mount bracket if not ordering the
optional awning hood or for EACH universal mount
bracket if ordering the awning hood.
HANGING THE AWNING
If installing a awning hood
using the universal brackets, insert the mounting
bolts into both channels of the hood.
One bolt per channel per bracket. Position the
retractable awning hood on top of the brackets and tighten
the bolts. If using "L" brackets, install
brackets before hanging any retractable awnings. (Fig. 3)
Lift awning up to brackets, lining
up the end of the awning with marks on the wall.
Push the awning's square bar into the bracket and insert
and tighten the retaining bolts.
After the awning has been mounted,
remove all protective wrapping. On manually operated
systems stop the awning when the arms are fully
open or anywhere up to the full projection purchased.
On motorized awnings, the projection will be preset
at the factory for the full extension purchased.
If for some reason, you need the awning to project
less than the projection purchased, you can adjust
the projection of the awning by setting the limit
switches on the retractable awning motor.
To adjust the pitch of the awning,
use a ¾" wrench to loosen the two
nuts on the arm bracket. Using a 6mm allen wrench,
turn the allen bolt left to lower the awning pitch and
right to raise the awning pitch. When the desired pitch
is attained, tighten the two nuts and attach the
awning cover.
